The victory arrived with one round of fixtures still remaining, confirming PSG’s standing as the most decorated side in the history of French top-flight football.
How the Title Was Decided — and What Comes Next
Heading into the fixture, PSG held a six-point cushion over Lens, meaning even a draw would have been enough to secure the trophy. Instead, goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and late substitute Ibrahim Mbaye delivered a commanding victory.
Head coach Luis Enrique, who took over in 2023, called it “the sweetest and hardest title to win” of his three seasons in charge, noting that Lens had made the campaign exceptionally demanding. “Without a doubt, it’s been the hardest of the three years we’ve had here,” he said, pointing to the remarkable run of consecutive wins the northern club had produced during the season.
